Market View – Tuesday, November 8, 2011.

The DOW was down 30 points at time of posting today at 12,038. Oil for December delivery was at $96.91 per barrel while gold futures for December were at $1,796.30 an ounce.

Eurozone – the economic hotspot for turmoil these days; Italy voted for budget reform perhaps saving the job of its troubled leader – at least for now. There were 308 votes in favor and 1 abstention making up the 309 voters that participated. There are 630 total voters and more than half did not participate in the budget reform vote.

The Prime Minister of Greece may possibly resign today. If that happens, it could begin a process of change for Greece, although its total economy is small compared to other Eurozone members and the world. Italy has the 8th largest economy in the world so it has a much more significant impact on the world marketplace
