David Black has been the President of First New England Mortgage (FNE) since its incorporation in 1987.  Prior to FNE, Black served as an underwriter at Northeastern Mortgage Corporation, at the time, one of the states largest mortgage companies.

A past Director of the Massachusetts Mortgage Association and a current member, he is also a member of the Massachusetts Mortgage Bankers Association, the National Association of Mortgage Brokers, the Better Business Bureau, and the Newton, Needham, Waltham, and Plymouth Chambers of Commerce.

Mr. Black is also a partner in Loanbright.com, a leading online customer acquisition solution for the mortgage industry. 

Mr. Black has a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Vermont.

A pioneer of innovative financing, Black has introduced solutions into the 26 states where FNE holds licenses. Black is a veteran industry leader who, from the onset, has been dedicated to outstanding customer service and high ethical standards. Giving back to the community is one of Mr. Black’s first priorities, and he shares a long-term partnership with Habitat for Humanity. His goal with FNE has been to take brokerage and lending to a new level of respectability and responsiveness.
